Come and celebrate Canada Day! Festivities kick off Friday, June 30th!
Friday
All Day $1.50 swim admission all day at the Peace Regional Pool
7:15pm to 7:45pm – Mr. Canoehead (All Canadian song set)
8pm to 8:30pm – Carisa Hendrix and Ballyhoo Ent. – Fire Performance 8:45-9:15 PM Mr. Canoehead 11:59pm – Canada 150 Fireworks Display – Bigger show in celebration of Canada’s 150! (Alternate date if raining, July 1st at 11:59pm)
Saturday, July 1st
10 am - 3 pm: Peace River Farmer’s Market at Athabasca Hall.
11 am: Opening Ceremonies at Peace River Museum, Archives, and Mackenzie Centre and walking parade to Riverfront Park
11:30am – Opening Remarks and Formal Welcome.
Heritage Costumes and Red and White Costume Contest – Come to Riverfront Park dressed in your Canada Day red and whites!
Noon to 3pm -Exciting stage performances, fun family activities, laser tag, face painting, free food, cookies and fun!
3pm to 5pm – Kids’ Circus Workshop with Ballyhoo Entertainment.
Circus Performance and workshop with Ballyhoo Entertainment Musical Entertainment by Midnight Lights, TJ Ruckus, Megan Toker and Luke Lounsbury.
Special Performances by: Movement Speaks, Peace Region Dance Society and other local dancers.
Additional Fun: Noel Bundy – Balloon Artist Giant Inflatable Laser Tag – In the Zone Party Rentals Peace Parent Link – Children’s Activities.
*PLEASE NOTE* We are doing a walking parade instead of a bicycle parade this year.
