Friends of the Library is pumped to start an adult "No Guilt Book Club" at the Library!!
Didn't read the book- that's ok!
Didn't like the book you did read - that's ok too!
Just want to come and find out what people are reading - come on out!
The first group meeting will be Tuesday, March 6 at 7 pm. It will be talk about your all time favourite book; big, small, adult, kids feely book - Come and tell us all about it and why you liked it. Be as detailed or not as you like. Bring a diorama to explain or just let us know if it was a horrible book and we shouldn't try it.
Always on the look out for new and interesting books? This will help us find different things that we wouldn't usually read.
Some months may host a theme - some suggestions are War, alcohol, things we should have read in high school but didn't, books over 2" thick, food, countries, movie adaptations. But don't worry - if its something you're really not into, you won't have to follow that.
This is set to be a fun exciting evening out for us to learn about new books and have some amazing snacks! Cost is $10 for the year (to provide these finger food delight)
We will continue to meet the first Tuesday of the month with the exception of December, July and August. We are aware of the conflict with Flickpickerz we will find an alternate date.
Please note, this is book club is for adults. Hope to see a few friendly faces there!
